Google Ads’ AI co-pilots are here. Buckle up.

Plus: iHeart brings TikTok to events, radio, podcasting

Today’s Social Media advertising rates are scrappy:

↗️ META: $8.06 | ↗️ TIKTOK: $3.12 CPM | ↗️ SNAPCHAT: $11.80 CPM

In this week’s edition:

  • ⚰️ These AI ads bring legends back from the dead

  • Reddit’s new ads are fun to play 👽

  • 📍 Shortcut? Google’s store ads are now in Waze

But first…

🧠🧠 Google just dropped 2 new AI copilots — here’s what they do

Google just announced Ads Advisor and Analytics Advisor, two Gemini-powered agents landing in all English-language Google Ads + GA accounts in early December. The pitch: always-on copilots that optimize campaigns, surface insights, and diagnose problems.

  • Google Ads Advisor lives inside your Google Ads account and behaves like a hands-on optimization partner, generating headlines, hooks, and assets on demand. It can recommend PMax improvements (e.g., new sitelinks), generate new assets and keyword ideas, explain performance swings, or even fix certain policy issues with your approval. The more you interact, the more personalized it gets.

  • Google Analytics Advisor is GA4 with a brain and an opinion. Ask broad questions (“How is my site doing?”) or specific ones (“Why did active users spike on Sept 25?”) and it runs the analysis, highlights key drivers, and recommends concrete next steps, including ones that link back into Google Ads.

💡 Why it matters: Agencies are already implementing AI tools to help streamline workflows and maximize efficiency. But these tools, aimed at small to medium sized businesses, are Google showing that it can put agentic workflows directly inside its products. not just for chat, but for action.

⚰️  ElevenLabs, the AI audio startup, is enlisting some of the world’s most recognizable voices—both alive and dead—for brand campaigns. On Tuesday, they introduced a new platform that lets brands license the voices of public figures, such as Michael Caine and Maya Angelou, for use in marketing, entertainment, and branded storytelling. (Also available, from the great beyond: the voices of Judy Garland, Emlia Earhart, Baby Ruth, and Maya Angelou.) The marketplace allows brands to negotiate directly with rights holders and talent representatives before deploying AI-generated voices. Brands are billed based on the number of text characters used in ads, with ElevenLabs adding a licensing fee.

📦 Amazon Ads introduced location-based interactive video ads (IVA) on Prime Video, expanding its advertising capabilities for local clients. Location-based IVA allows brands across local marketing categories, such as auto dealerships, financial institutions, insurance providers, or restaurants, to customize their streaming messages by geographic location—showcasing regional offers, location-specific pricing, or local business information while maintaining the scale and simplicity of a single national buy.

🔎 Google has rolled out AI-powered ad carousels in the Images tab on mobile, now appearing across all categories, not just shopping-related ones. These are horizontally scrollable carousels with images, headlines, and links, and they’re powered by AI-driven ad matching. They’ll give brands a new, highly visual placement to grab attention where users are actively browsing and comparing visuals:

💅 This week’s Pro Tips:

Google is adding Waze ad inventory for store goal campaigns…

…and also adding search partner performance to the PMax channel performance view:

TikTok has partnered with leading audio company iHeartMedia to bring TikTok creators into iHeart's ecosystem. This includes the launch of the TikTok Podcast Network, which will feature up to 25 new podcasts hosted by TikTok creators, as well as a national broadcast and digital radio station, and a series of live event integrations:

  • TikTok Podcast Network, complete with new co-branded studios in LA, NYC, and Atlanta, will partner with iHeart to turn top creators into cross-platform audio/video franchises.

  • TikTok Radio will pair creators with iHeart hosts for a “scroll with your ears” format built around trending music, storytelling, and chart-driving context.

  • TikTok/iHeart Live Events, where creators will get backstage-level access at iHeart tentpoles like Jingle Ball and the iHeart Music Festival, opening new brand activation lanes across TikTok + IRL stages.

👽 Reddit has launched new Interactive Ads in a limited beta; the ads invite redditors to play, participate, and explore directly within the ad itself. The ads can be fully bespoke games, or they can use lower lift templates like countdowns, quizzes, dynamic reveals, and trivia:

Reddit is also redesigning its audience setup process, in an effort to make campaign creation “more intuitive and streamlined.” Now, all audience settings will now be grouped into two sections:

  • Audience Suggestions provide signals or “hints” to guide automated targeting

  • Audience Controls act as hard filters that automated targeting will always respect

📊By the numbers: Reddit is now putting hard stats behind its claim that automated targeting tools drove improved results across all objectives:
